Monday Musings (#1): Aesthetics

WOO, first Monday Musings post of 2016!

I am actually proud of myself.

So I actually had NO idea what to write for this post, because I am terrible at creating blog post topics.

I ended up making this post because on my previous post, I was talking about not liking my blog theme recently (which is something I talk about on default most times anyways), and I think it has to stem from the fact that my university lectures have finally kicked into my head.

When I visit other people's blogs, I see how organized the themes are, the consistency in themes on their other social media platforms, and all I can think of is: THAT is a brand.

I feel like aesthetic for a brand is a 100% important, and the reason why I'm not feeling mine is because I don't even know what I want for this blog half the time. I really just love reading, and I love writing and reviewing, but I feel like it doesn't show on my blog half the time.

So why is aesthetic important for a blogger?

Firstly, it changes the mood of the person who goes onto your blog/website; depending on your aesthetic, it makes them happy, bright or calm and subdued.

Secondly, it gives you your identity, and will help you in grave yourself in their mind.

And finally, it makes them want to come back for more. The more pleasing something is, the more they want to come back, aside from your content.
